Carol and Deb dolls come to So Cali.... Merry Christmas Everyone....

Look!!!! I got a box the other day from Indiana !!! and these two wonderful girls were in it... They are hanging out on my desk at work.... Thank you Carol... for everything... You have been the greatest friend. I NEVER dreamed you would send them to me.... Wow !!! I am so very blessed...

Just wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas... I have enjoyed being friends with you and reading your blogs and sharing similar interests. Some of you (Carol) have come to mean the world to me. And my day is not complete if I have not shared the latest... : )

Finished bracelet... and etc...

Ok almost finished 2 threads to bead away...

I made my first "sale" ... Took the bracelets to my friend Leslie and she got 4 of them. So next is the boss's wife and then leftovers for gifts... How fun this has been... Gave me a boost in my confidence level... Shh this one is for my mom... I am sending an overnight package tomorrow with some goodies... Talk about last minute...

Weekend !!!

Hi Everyone.... Just wanted to wish you all a productive last 4 shopping days !!!

Christmas Eve is my mother's birthday.... Happy Birthday Mom !!! Maybe I'll come surprise you....

These are what I have been working on the last few weeks... Well there is more, but for now.... My bosses wife had asked for some bracelets for gifts and my friend Leslie had also ordered some... So I just have 1 or 2 more little things to do and then that is done...

So anyway... If I don't get back on here.... Merry Christmas and Happy New Year...

This is my last spiral for my orders... I really love the way this one turned out...






This is a leaf vine stitch that is from Creative Beading (I think) a hardcover book from Bead & Button a complilation of the years best projects this is from the 2nd book.







This is for a teenager... I got requests from a friend and also my boss's wife for bracelets... Most of them are spirals, but decided to do some strung too...




Another teen one... my daughter likes this one...

This holiday one I found the barrel bead at my LBS Farrin O'Connor Design Studio http://www.farrinoconnordesign.com/

The ladies there are really helpful... they have a great selection on cabs.... and wonderful semi-precious stone beads... Anyway I glued one half of a magnetic clasp inside the barrel bead and let it dry for 2 days... used E6000. So far its has held...

This set I made for my best friend up in N. Calif I hope she likes it... Still havent mailed it LOL tomorrow...

This bracelet was made by my daughter Missy for her friend Destiny because it would match what she was wearing the next day.... I started it and finished it for her... but she did a great job...

This bracelet I made a long time ago, but never could decide on a clasp... finally done...

Been meaning to do this...

Happy Thanksgiving !!

Sorry I haven't been on here posting. I wanted to wish you and your families a very safe and Happy Thanksgiving holiday.

Did this this weekend. I am not sure what the stone is, it looks kind of like lapis but with white (crystal) in it. I bought it at the Pasadena Bead & Design Show which is coming again... in Feb I think...! It was fun... I love doing bead embroidery... Took a break from the belt buckles until I decide which buckle blank I am going to use. I have a friend that asked me to make him a USC buckle.... maybe I will... of course it won't be licensed... LOL

This is my turtle "Mr. Turtle" he has gotten so big that he is pulling himself up on the edge of the tank... I had to lower the water level... This is what he did this morning when I went to go say hello to them... He can stand on the bottom and stick his head up still but I don't think he can climb out now... His female is Cabby (Cabochon) she is so much smaller than he is. She was out of the tank for a few weeks as she was recovering from a minor thing but had to be in dry tank. I think he grew even more during that time... Funny to think that they came home almost a year ago in an ice cream cup and were so tiny that you could put first finger/thumb together and thats the size they were...

Here we go.... just had to publish something... Thanks !! Oh and Carol... I will do my tagged thing tomorrow... LOL

Coffee and Beads on the Couch....

The other day I decided to drop in on my friend Leslie, she moved a bit away and we don’t see each other as much as we would like. I was driving up to her beautiful house in the canyon and there she was coming down the hill… We both stopped and she said go on up.. She made me lunch and after looking at the lastest pics of my jewelry that are always in my cell phone, she ordered some bracelets as Christmas gifts… This started me on a spiral stitch kick !! I have done enough to fill her request and then some. I have other friends and family that are going to want help with checking off their Naughty and Nice List. So its Coffee and Beads on the Couch, Ten O’Clock news and Beads on the couch, run home at lunch and beads… just kidding the beads are in my purse at work…

So if anyone besides you Carol, read my blog… and would like to share. Please comment and tell me where do you have your special place that you bead or create? What is the spot that allows your creative muse to run wild?? Kitchen table? Desk? Room? (LUCKY!!) Mine is the couch, surrounded by ALL MY STUFF! So it’s right there to inspire me because you never know what wants to go into that next creation… That way I don’t have to tear through everything to find that one clasp or my 5mm closed rings… And it all puts away quickly if needed : )

What a week...

Finally its Friday... This has been a week. So beading wise I started a new spiral 13 count peyote using size 11 3 cuts in tourmaline shades... it is going to take a longggg time I think... but did a few rounds each morning during coffee & beads time. This morning I also started a matching spiral necklace for the bracelet posted last time with the green/brown beads... the spiral netting is really fast. I love it !!!
